When using waxes of any kind, it is best to first apply 1-2 coats of a clear wax. Same goes with using Liquid Waxes. However as a cheat, you can do 1 coat of sheer, then mix 4:1 ratio of Sheer Liquid Wax (or any of our Varnishes) with a tinted wax: Ebony or Cocoa. Another great hint is to add a few drops of extender to give your self a little more working time. And when applying, check with your retailer if they have the Applicator Sponge - makes applying so easy.
As a retailer, sometimes it is hard to order what our clients will buy and want. However, not sure why I ordered so much Aquamarine. No fear, I decided to add some Raven to my extra Aquamarine for this stunning new color. The base and chairs where painted with this mix, distressed, topped with 1 coat of Sheer Liquid Wax, followed by a mix of Ebony Tinted Liquid Wax mixed w/ Sheer Liquid (4 parts sheer to 1 part Ebony making a Black Glaze). Adding this glaze gives the furniture more depth and mutes the blue a tad. The top was painted by my friend, Jessica - this is her amazing signature style for table tops. She used the Weathered Gray Stain, Gray Mist, Cathedral.
