This Buffet had water stains on it. It was sanded down to raw wood but the stains were still there. Our Gel Stains are perfect for this solution. Gel stains have more pigments so they can hide more imperfections. Even better, our Gel Stains are non-toxic and are waterbased for easy clean up. Use our blue applicator sponge or a nap roller for a perfect finish. A top coat is needed so follow up with our Liquid Wax or Varnish. For a little more depth to the top, use Ebony Liquid Wax or Black Antiquing Glaze Varnish.

These detailed tables were painted in our Oyster Gray Acrylic-Chalk Paint. Wet distressed to bring out the details. A light coating of sheer and ebony liquid wax was applied for an antiqued look. The tops were sanded down (they were a mess), then I applied our Espresso Gel Stain over them. Once dried, I took #220 sand paper to pull back so of the gel stain to give it a more rustic look. I just love painting detailed pieces like this. Painting them really helps the details pop. Artist: Susan @ Two Dogs and A Paintbrush
